In 2003 in Thailand, 2700 drug user were killed during the 1st drug war.
Earlier this year the Thai government announced the second drug war.

On June 9 2008 in New York, a coalition of Thai, Australian, Belgian, Russian,
American, INPUD Activists held a protest march at the Thai Embassy in New York.

Thai DU speeched against the human rights violations and demand for
health approach policies and respect for drug users human rights.
